======Ballot====== //Chronicle// will hold a ballot before character submissions. To ensure a high quality game and maintain a healthy work-life balance for GMs, //Chronicle// will currently accept a maximum of **16** players. In the event of oversubscription, we will attempt to recruit up to **2** more GMs, facilitating the participation of up to 24 players. Balloting will be done in the following priority groups: - People not involved in any other Society Games, who will not get involved in either //Palimpsest// or //Ex Nihilo// (ORPGSoc Trinity Term games). This group includes both ORPGSoc Alumni Members and new players (who, if they have not already done so, will have to pay ORPGSoc membership after session 2 in order to continue participating) - People remotely playing //Labyrinth// who do not intend to participate in either //Palimpsest// or //Ex Nihilo.// - People who are currently playing //Labyrinth// in person, people who intend to participate in //Palimpsest// or //Ex Nihilo,// and people whose participation in //Palimpsest// or //Ex Nihilo// is already confirmed. //Chronicle// will also have crew, or assistant GMs, who are given character(/s) to play and who do not receive turnsheets. It will be possible to ballot preferentially to crew; alternatively, the ballot contains an option for players to enter the crew ballot if players are oversubscribed and crew aren’t. These will be equally weighted. //Chronicle// will likely have space for as many crew members as there are GMs (ie. between 4 and 6), though a few more may be possible. To express your preferences, please complete this [[https://forms.gle/DVJhQQPo4mySjZ627|form]] by 23:59 on Thursday 19th March 2026, with results released on Friday 20th March. After this, if there are any places remaining, anyone who did not participate in balloting for any reason will be able to claim them from the GM team, at their discretion and on a first-come, first-served basis.
