Calendrical theory: a framework for the study of the effects of chronometry on culture

**Abstract:** Did the era of post-revolution Endring begin in the year the revolution ended, or on the day that year was selected and recorded in the resetting of the calendar? A calendar is a record of the events important to a culture, but it is also the chart by which those being introduced to the culture - by immigration or birth - may navigate the social expectations of their time. In this letter, we lay out a framework with which to analyse this relationship and develop a deeper understanding of the social, spiritual, and psychological mechanisms at play.
