This policy makes use of the concept of 'explicit consent', which means:

  * You are fully informed of the how and why we are collecting your personal information.
  * You are fully informed of who will be able to see your personal information once we hold it.
  * Your consent is given explicitly, and not implied from your actions.
  * Your consent may be withdrawn at any time for any reason.
  * You always have the right to refuse to give us your personal information or to withdraw your consent for us to hold it at any time, though in some circumstances not giving us your personal information or withdrawing consent for us to use it may make participating in the game difficult or even impossible. We will let you know if this is the case.
Please note that your IP address and usage data about how you use the wiki are collected automatically. We will try to delete this on request.

  * Your Discord account name.
  * Usage data about how you use the wiki.
  * Your out-of-character email addresses.
  * We will not collect any information in relation to any other sensitive information about you, such as your political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, sexual orientation, criminal convictions, etc.

Most of the information we collect is explicitly provided by you. Your IP address and wiki usage data are automatically recorded when you use the website.

Your name and pronouns will be used to identify and refer to you on the wiki. These will be listed publicly with your character bio. Your name will usually be listed in the form of a first name and initial. Your email address will be used to set up your wiki account and receive your in game emails, but your OC email address will only be visible to the [[gms_and_npcs|GM team]]. The wiki usage data may be used for maintaining the website in case of issues.

Apart from the information noted above to be public, we will refrain from sharing your personal information with anyone other than the companies whose services we use to run the website and mail system. Vultr host the server that the wiki system runs on, so they have access to all of the wiki contents and usage data and email contents and metadata. Vultr promises not to use this data except for the purpose of providing the services we use them for. The MailDragon system is maintained by, and accessible to, the ORPGSoc Website/Mailing List Rep.
