GMs and NPCs
Eloise (CAMPO)
OC Pronouns: she/her
Contact: gm_eloise@chronicle.oxfordrpg.com
Core themes: The control of information; cultural contact and colonialism; storytelling and history; and the relationships people build with the world around them.
What would you contribute to an archive of everything? Memes, jokes, songs, and urban legends. As a history student, I absolutely love the moments when I get to see people being people (not often enough in a medieval context) - I'd want to give the scholars of the future the opportunity to see what we were really made of, beyond the headlines.
NPCs:
| Name | Pronouns | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Dr. Alethea Acevedo | she/her | The Head Archivist, rarely seen in person but nonetheless known for her unfailing work ethic. |
| Thalia Saets | zie/she/they | A wanderer, originally from Nemeus. |
| Edgar Ross | he/they | A baker for Mundmix and a VAA who is very, very committed to his research goals. |
| Yeška Hayden | he/him | Founder and head of a Nemean heritage organisation, known for his strong views (despite the organisation's own pragmatism. Downtime only. |
Dakota
OC Pronouns: he/her
Contact: gm_dakota@chronicle.oxfordrpg.com
Core themes: Charting the un-known, charting one’s inner world, charting one’s place in the universe.
What would you contribute to an archive of everything? Nothing. I would contribute nothing at all.
NPCs:
| Name | Pronouns | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Octavia Cuyler | she/her | The young up-and-coming CEO of Mundmix, a globally recognised café chain. She’s aimed to dip her toes into the Archive as a VAA, despite her open grievances about all the “work” they have to do. A fresh platter of cake, some snuggly blankets, a good book…what more could one ask for? |
| Itztepex, the Sting of Clarity | he/they | The Endringian incarnate deity of communication, instinct, storms, eels, debate and rhetoric. He is a being abound with questions and rife with their answers, most of which contradict each other by the time you’ve had a chance to retort. |
| Mumnos, the Shuffling Hill | they/them | The Endringian incarnate creator deity of flowers, community, hearth, food, bees, generosity, and debt. A welcome patron to all, their arms shall always be open to receive you, no matter what you’ve done. Downtime-only. |
Luke
OC Pronouns: he/him
Contact: gm_luke@chronicle.oxfordrpg.com
Core themes: The intersection of belief and materiality, poetry and faith, symbol and meaning, beauty and truth. The tensions between esotericism and utopianism, social structure and escape. The ambiguities of change, and the connections and the gaps that stretch across the void. The weird and its role in imagining worlds that operate differently.
What would you contribute to an archive of everything? As many creative works as possible (it's largely my fault the Inspirations list got so long). Novels and video games and Society Game wikis. The other worlds we built, and the light they reflected back on the ones we lived in.
NPCs:
| Name | Pronouns | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Liria, the Seven-Named | she/they | Incarnate Endringian deity of naming, writing, prayer, birdsong, book-making and printing. The central liaison between Endring and the Archive. She logs in to its meetings to discuss the progress of knowledge, and is sometimes met by extemporary prayer sessions. She is at the forefront of denouncing Mayton Greynes, but also arguing for the potential of its technology. |
| Kleiops, the Rustfather | he/they | Incarnate Endringian deity of decay, loss, mud, pottery, badgers, locks, and judgement. He is hostile to collaboration with the Archive, seeing dangerous absurdity in their attempts to preserve memories eternally. |
| Krates Antithanes | he/him | Head of a prestigious Nemean merchant house, serving as Arkhon this year. It will soon be his responsibility to hold a lavish storytelling competition in Flitch Baggaban's honour. He is seeking Archivists to provide contributions and counsel. Downtime only. |
| The Supersessionary Calling | many/all | I am he and you are me and we are all together. A constructed community found across the Nemeus Archipelago. Make good marzipan. Downtime only. |
Barney
OC Pronouns: he/him
Contact: gm_barney@chronicle.oxfordrpg.com
Core themes: More focused on realism and human nature. When the weird and interesting becomes real, who takes control, who takes the wonder out of it? And how will this affect the stock market?
What would you contribute to an archive of everything? A place to learn. What's the point of an archive that no-one ever reads from? Also a lot of useless maths stuff.
NPCs:
| Name | Pronouns | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Prof. Juniper Knight | she/her | Academic lead of Lutown University, who oversees communication with the university and the Archive. If you're looking for her, she's probably in her office, filing legal paperwork to rock music. If she's looking for you, you've probably shared something you weren't supposed to. |
| Starlight02 | she/her | An anonymous user of Mayton Greynes forums. |
| Lanier Sevve | she/her | GLUMM agent, used to work in HR for the throne's companies, but recently moved over to other legal matters. |
| King Alden Mayton | he/him | The absolute monarch of Mayton Greynes. Only ascended to the throne a few years ago and is still quite young. Is using the 200 celebrations to shore up his support and create a clear and unique vision for his reign. Downtime only. |
Danielle
OC Pronouns: she/they
Contact: gm_danielle@chronicle.oxfordrpg.com
Core themes: The relationships between art and religion; dreams and reality; information and control; the known and the unknown; the mundane and the weird. The many things contained within the Archive.
What would you contribute to an archive of everything? Masks. It's been said already, but a whole bunch of weird memes and RPGSoc wikis. Additionally, little trinkets, a whole bunch of vampire tales, novelty mugs, scented candles, and various regional food and drink. I'm a big fan of the mundane things that make us human and the personal stories that attachments to objects bring with them.
NPCs:
| Name | Pronouns | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Charles Schlechter | he/him | Regional Head of the Department of the Archive, hailing from the area himself. Has gained a reputation for being a strong and silent work-horse, ensuring the Archive's flourishing success. |
| Rafael de Nebris | he/any | A new VAA from Endring ready to take on the challenge. |
| Ethelredd Edburne | she/her | A wise old lady, originally from Alaxus, now living in the outskirts of the Archive. Downtime only. |
